Inspired by the ethereal beauty of the basilica La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, 'Sagrada' is a series of four original paintings by Karri McPherson that draw on the divine radiance of this architectural wonder.

"When I visited the Spanish cathedral in mid-2023, I was immediately struck by the stained glass windows that adorned the walls. They were like vibrant, glowing puzzles that bathed the church in a myriad of kaleidoscopic light and colour, creating an atmosphere that seemed to transcend the boundaries between the earthly and the celestial."

 

The awe-inspiring windows, designed by the visionary artist and architect Joan Vila Grau, serve as the focal point of these four paintings. "I hope that when people look at these artworks, they can feel a sense of the awe and wonder that I encountered whilst inside the magnificent La Sagrada Familia."
