Karri McPherson

Born in Hong Kong, SAR

Lives & works in Adelaide, Australia

Karri McPherson is an Australian contemporary artist whose work investigates the profound intersections of philosophy, nature, and mathematics. Drawing inspiration from Existentialist ideas and the concept of free will, she delves into abstract theories that align with the elegance and universality of mathematics. Influenced by Plato's notion of an unseen reality, Karri’s work uses precise, geometric forms as both an artistic language and a philosophical tool to hint at truths lying beyond the visible, inviting viewers to glimpse the hidden structures that frame our lived experiences.

Guided by a commitment to uncovering underlying truths, Karri’s art is an exploration of life's fundamental nature, with geometry as her compass. Her compositions strive for a balance between order and chaos, evoking the organic elegance found in nature’s own design principles and mathematical equations. Through her work, Karri encourages contemplation on existence, posing questions about humanity’s place in the grand architecture of the universe. Her art becomes a conduit, not only for beauty but also for a deepened awareness of the interconnectedness that underlies all things.
